Isaac's Favorite Word

Recently, Isaac has taken to asserting himself regularly and repeatedly. We know we should work on getting him to say yes, but we are too busy entertaining ourselves by getting him to say no. We may be creating a monster.

Grandma Jennifer

On Saturday, Isaac's Grandma Jennifer, Ryan's mom, died from pneumonia-related complications. No woman wanted to be a grandma more than Jennifer - she actually squealed like a little girl when we told her we were having a baby. She loved spending time with Isaac and he enjoyed making her laugh. His time with her was too short and we will make sure that she remains a part of his life through pictures and memories.

Early Turkey Day

Isaac had the honor of dining with his pal Luke today at Luke's Thanksgiving school lunch.

Isaac loved the peas and freeze-dried mashed potatoes.

He was ready to join in with the big kids and happily stomped through the cafeteria.

All that fun ended with a snooze on the ride home. (If you are wondering what is stuffed in his mouth, it is Ms. Hippo, his bedtime buddy.)

Isaac "Drawing"

Isaac had the time of his life hanging with the big kids last night. Next to chasing them around the house, he loved trying to "draw" with them.

Already a true Oregonian

Isaac is game to head outside no matter the weather. Here he is entertaining us again by showing his tongue. We have yet to tire of this trick.

Right on the kisser

Isaac's first fat lip - it has changed colors throughout the day and now is about the color of his shirt below.
