Rainy Days

With the return of the rain, I find myself scrambling a bit to occupy a two-year-old Isaac. Here are some of his recent wet-weather activities.

Stomping in puddles.

Dumping out Ry's sock drawer and sorting.
Btw, how many pairs of black socks does one man need?

Driving the coveted police car at the indoor park.

Playdoughing

And, beating the life out of a xylophone in music class.

Juice Madness

Here are some pics of Isaac and his gal-pal, Grace, progressively enjoying their mango lemonade on Friday night.

Busy, busy boy

Some days keeping up with Isaac makes my head spin. This picture below sums it up.

And, I had to include this pic because his hair cracks me up. At some point, I know he will need an official haircut, but in the meantime he is sporting these sassy curls. Love them.

Turning Two

Isaac turned two on August 26. He now measures 3' 1" high and weighs almost 32 pounds. As he says, "I am a big boy."

Striking a serious pose on the zoo train.

Trying to get him to stand still at the Shakespeare Garden.

"O, pardon me, thou bleeding piece of earth..."

Ready to dive into his Yellow Submarine cake

Polishing it off

High Flying

Isaac has been obsessed with kites ever since he saw some kids flying them at the park about a month ago. Today he finally got a chance to try his hand at it (with a little help from Ry).

Kickin' It with the Seeleys

We spent a nice long weekend with the Seeleys in Camp Sherman at Lake Creek Lodge. Highly recommended.

Isaac hanging by the pool with Kate, one of the two times all weekend he sat still.

Enthralled with Luke's reading of "Wocket in My Pocket", the second time he sat still all weekend.

Adoring "Goe-dy."

Charming me by leaving the daisy I put behind his ear long enough to get a picture.

Burning off birthdays

After attending three kid birthday parties this weekend (seriously, is December the most fertile month?), we decided to round out the weekend with a hike in Tryon Creek Park.

Isaac was very interested in reading all the signs on this walk and had strong feelings about the direction we should take.

Apparently, he now wants to climb anything he sees, including bridges.

Most of our hiking pictures of Isaac look like this. He is a bit of a blur until he bites it.
